How BremoKids Works 

You install Bremo once on the wheel. From that moment on, it works completely automatically:

• When the bike is at normal, safe speeds → almost no resistance
• Whenever the wheel speed exceeds the factory-set limit → Bremo smoothly and progressively limits the maximum speed to a safe level
• It reacts to any overspeed situation — downhill, hard push, momentum, or any other reason

From a Slovenian dad to parents around the world 

My name is Nikola Grabež, I’m a mechanical engineer from Ljubljana, Slovenia, and a father of a energetic three-year-old boy.

I developed BremoKids because I wanted my own child to enjoy riding safely. After he had a scary speed-related fall on his balance bike — an incident that ended with a night in the emergency room — I knew I had to find a better solution.

What started as a personal mission in my garage quickly grew into a serious project. After months of development, building numerous prototypes, and extensive real-world testing, I had the honour to collaborate with the Cruzee team and Yo Volkmar Rollenbeck — who provided valuable feedback and support during the testing phase.

Today, I’m ready to bring Bremo to families around the world — so that fewer parents have to experience the fear I felt that day.

Current status & next steps

We already have a fully functional prototype, tested on multiple balance bikes. Patent application is filed. With your help we will:
