Hello everyone🥰 we’re Martina and Luca, a young couple aged 24 and 28. We’re expecting our first child, who’s due in March. We’re so happy and excited, and we’re looking for the very best we can offer him! That’s exactly why we’re being looked after by the lovely, super-professional midwives at the ‘La Quercia’ maternity home in Merone. Their sensitivity and their warm, welcoming, respectful and patient approach meet our greatest wish: to give birth in our little haven, within our intimate circle, namely our own home. Three midwives with a wealth of knowledge and experience in both hospital settings and as specialists in home births for over 20 years, thanks to their midwifery centre, where they continue to support countless families and women on their journey. Your donation will help us with the costs of check-ups, home visits, and, even more importantly, the constant 24-hour availability of three midwives who, with promptness, efficiency, care and respect, are on hand day and night at any hour, particularly from the 37th week of pregnancy, home support for a safe birth and, something I care deeply about, daily visits to mother and baby after the birth, availability, care, support and advice whenever we need it, and with breastfeeding. This is a level of support we often don’t receive; when we feel alone and panicked at the baby’s first cry, they offer unrivalled physical, mental, emotional and practical support. As this is our first experience in this new chapter of our lives, we are doing everything we can, saving as much as possible, and having them as a safety net makes us feel more at ease and happy. This is us, a young couple who are absolutely thrilled and can’t wait to hold our little one in our arms in the most intimate and safe place we know, supported and guided by experienced and caring people to bring this little one into the world, whom we love more than ourselves.
