In 2008, my mother’s partner was involved in a serious car accident, resulting in both of his legs being shattered. After extensive surgeries and rehabilitation, he regained some ability to walk a few years later, but his mobility remains severely limited. Prior to the accident, we had started renovating our house, financed by a loan. Unfortunately, after the accident, the insurance company refused to provide any compensation, which led us into financial hardship.

Over the years, the situation only worsened. During this time, my younger brother was born, and we later discovered he suffers from a common childhood condition that required hip surgery. As a result, he now relies on either crutches or a walker to move around. My mother became his full-time caregiver and receives only a minimal allowance from the government, far from a livable income.

My mother’s partner and I have been working hard to support the family. I worked as an electrician at a factory for seven years, but two months ago, I lost my job due to layoffs. Compounding this, a few years ago, I had an accident that left me with only 10% vision in my left eye, making it much harder to find new employment as I am often turned away because of this disability.

As the financial pressures mounted, we were forced to sacrifice even the small joys of life. For years, we haven’t been able to celebrate a single holiday, birthday, or special occasion with peace or happiness. Every holiday season is a reminder of what we’ve lost and how much we are struggling just to survive. Instead of joy, every festive moment has been overshadowed by stress and sadness.

Now, we are at a breaking point. We have just 1-2 weeks' worth of money left for food, and our internet and phone services are about to be disconnected. Most critically, in 1-3 months, our house will be put up for auction due to unpaid loans.

We are desperately asking for help to stabilize our situation, cover immediate expenses, and prevent the loss of our home. Any contribution would mean the world to us and give us a chance to rebuild our lives—and finally, to experience the joy of celebrating a holiday without fear of losing everything.
