Description
Robert Ginalski committed his life to books, music and the sea. As a
publisher he has put out more than 1500 titles, i.e. books ranging from
Nabokov and Orwell, all works by Jerzy Kosinski or Marek Hłasko, to thrillers,
romances and non-fiction, including encyclopedias. He is the Polish translator
of a hundred of books by authors ranging from Alistair MacLean, Frederick
Forsyth, Robert Harris, Daniel Silva, Robert Ludlum and Raymond Chandler
to Pat Conroy, Chuck Palahniuk, Bruce Chatwin and Harold C. Schonberg. He
is also an author – including “101 Hits of Classical Music”. As an expert in
Vladimir Horowitz, he is a renown collector of his recordings. Also, he is a
coral reefs buff.
It turns out he needs help. For a long time, he has been struggling with
cancer, an extremely malignant tumor that resulted in all sort of metastases,
including bone metastases. He is cracking up and his ability to work
deteriorates quickly.
As it is, the cost of living and therapy – doctors, drugs, physical
checkups and experimental therapy – are beyond his power. Therefore, any
help would be much appreciated.
