Good morning dear friends.

I would like to introduce myself to you and tell you a short story about myself so that you can get to know me better and understand the meaning of my plea for help.

My name is Dorota and I am a 42 year old mother of three wonderful children.In 2010 I had another pregnancy and felt I was the luckiest woman on earth.

On the 27th of November I gave birth to a son who, for unknown reasons, died an hour after birth (no autopsy was done as there was deemed to be no indication of this). I went through hell on earth, a loss I have not come to terms with to this day.

In 2015 I moved with my family to the Netherlands and we settled there permanently.

In 2022, another nightmare and my adventure with the disease began.

It started with very severe haemorrhages. Doctors in the Netherlands did not know how to help me. Desperate, I sought help from my former attending gynaecologist in Poland , who, after talking to me on the phone, told me to come over immediately. In Poland, a curettage was performed and I waited for the histopathological result. When I received the result, my world turned upside down. The verdict: malignant tumour of the uterus.

After the procedure, I returned to the Netherlands to start treatment. Unfortunately, the doctors at the local hospital decided not to take the results from Poland into account (even though they had been translated) and started their diagnosis.

Biopsies and tests began and eventually I was given chemotherapy.

One week after finishing the chemotherapy I found out I was pregnant.

Further treatment was discontinued and an abortion was suggested. On my own responsibility and aware of the consequences of my decision, I did not agree to terminate the pregnancy. In the 27th week of pregnancy, complications began (cardiac arrest and resuscitation). I was very fortunate to have a wonderful team of doctors by my side who managed to restore my vital functions.

On 4 December 2023, I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy daughter, Zosia.

Six months after Zosia's birth, I went for an appointment to renew my tests. It turned out that the cancer had returned with double the force. Another operation was scheduled to remove the entire uterus, fallopian tubes and lymph nodes. Unfortunately, the operation was not successful... the cancer had metastasised.

In November b/r I had another operation in which the entire vulva was removed. Two weeks after the last operation I discovered another tumour on the other side of my groin.

Another operation is scheduled for 10-December, as well as the administration of chemotherapy.

The total cost is 15305,92 euros.

Unfortunately, I do not have sufficient funds to cover it. Together with my family, we have raised almost 8,000 euros, but another 7,000 euros are still missing.

I am counting on you to help me fight another battle for health and a better tomorrow, and I am relying on people with good hearts to support me and my family in this difficult situation.

I would love to watch my children grow up. To be able to raise them and cuddle them for as long as I can.

I dream of winning this unequal battle once and for all and beating the disease.

The good comes back.
