(With your support, you can change a child’s future by giving them access to digital education. Your contribution can open doors to knowledge, confidence, and career opportunities!)

Who am I, and what am I raising funds for?

My name is Smaranda Dușa Gruia, and I am the founder of a wonderful IT school in Romania, located in Giurgiu County. I own a franchise of Algorithmics, an international programming school dedicated to children and teenagers, where digital education is made accessible and engaging.

My mission, and that of my school, is to provide all children with the opportunity to learn programming and build a strong future in an increasingly digital world.

Unfortunately, not all children have the financial means to attend IT courses. That’s why I am launching this campaign to ensure equal educational opportunities – through scholarships – for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

📌 What is the current situation?

Digital education is no longer a luxury—it is a necessity. We live in an era where technology is part of everyday life, and access to IT and programming skills can provide a real chance for a decent income and a stable future.

Unfortunately, many children cannot afford any kind of specialized courses, and their opportunities are extremely limited. Without support, these children are left behind, despite their desire and potential to learn.

Giurgiu County is a disadvantaged region of Romania. It is a place where, unfortunately, people are poor, but they have incredibly rich hearts. Beautiful, open-minded people live here—families who want to grow and

evolve but lack the right environment to do so.

Through my school, I have brought programming courses to this area, creating as many facilities as possible to encourage children to study. But, unfortunately, it is not enough. For these children to have a real chance,

they need support from the community.

💡 Why is this important to me?

Besides the fact that Giurgiu County is my ancestors' homeland, I strongly believe that every child deserves equal access to education, regardless of their financial situation. I have seen firsthand how self-confidence and opportunities grow exponentially when children learn to use technology, connect with the digital world, solve problems online, and create their own projects.

A single IT course can change a child’s life, providing them not only with technical knowledge but also with essential skills to build a career in a modern, rapidly growing field.

Through this campaign, I want us to offer a genuine chance to children who otherwise would not have access to quality digital education.

🎯 What will the funds be used for?

Scholarships for children

  • Covering the cost of programming courses at Algorithmics;

Access to equipment

  • Helping provide laptops or tablets for children without access to technology;

Free educational events

  • Organizing workshops and seminars for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Even the smallest contribution can make a life-changing difference for a child's future!
