Almost six million people in Germany are currently over-indebted. This is according to the latest Debtor Atlas from credit agency Creditreform. Despite drastic increases in inflation and energy prices, this is significantly fewer people than in previous years. Nevertheless, this figure is worrying. Because it means that the proportion of over-indebted people in relation to all adults in Germany is 8.48 per cent. This means that almost one in ten people are affected.
