Description
Hi, we’re Valentina and Marco; we’re 37 and 43 respectively.
We met in 2013 and got married in 2019. It has always been our dream to have a baby one day, and we started trying as early as 2017.
Time went by but there was no sign of pregnancy; in fact, things were getting worse as with every menstrual cycle I (Valentina) experienced increasingly excruciating pain in my lower abdomen.
In early 2020, after months of post-period pain, tests, consultations, etc., I discovered I had severe stage four endometriosis.
I underwent three operations, including the last one where my fallopian tubes were removed.
The gynaecologist, knowing of our desire to have a baby, immediately suggested we try assisted reproduction, as we obviously cannot conceive naturally.
We tried three cycles in Italy but without success, and as a last resort, the doctor suggested we try abroad as the treatment there is more advanced.
We are leaving for Prague on 31 October in the hope of realising our dream.
As it is a private clinic, it is obviously a considerable expense for us; the treatment itself costs us around €7,000, to which must be added the flight, the hotel, the various medical appointments, the medication, and other incidental costs.
I hope someone can help us cover this enormous expense, but above all, help us realise our dream.
Thank you.
