My name is Nikos, and for the past 15 years, my taxi has been my livelihood. I’ve worked hard on the streets, providing for my family and making sure our needs are met. I’ve always taken pride in my job, knowing that I help people get where they need to go, whether it’s a routine trip or an important moment in their lives. It’s something I’ve done for years, and it gave me a sense of purpose.

But a few months ago, everything changed. During one of my shifts, I accidentally hit a curb while trying to park. The damage to my taxi turned out to be much worse than it initially seemed. The front axle was severely damaged, and the repairs are extremely expensive. My taxi is quite old, and unfortunately, the insurance doesn’t cover such extensive damage.

In order to survive, I had to sell whatever I could from the car—parts, seats—but even with that, it’s not enough. I find myself in a situation where I need much more money to buy a used taxi so I can get back to work. Without a taxi, I can’t make a living, and the bills keep piling up. I have two children who rely on me, and each day that passes without work brings me closer to despair.

I tried to get a loan, but the financial situation is tough, and the banks aren’t willing to take a risk on someone in my position. Every day I’m unable to work is a step further away from being able to support my family.

That’s why I’m turning to you. It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but I don’t see another way. I need your support to buy a used taxi and get back on the road. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring me closer to my goal.
