Description
Hello everyone, my name is Christianne and I had an operation on 29 April 2024. I had a tumour in my left jawbone, and it was growing rapidly. The operation took 8 to 10 hours to remove the tumour. By removing my jawbone, they used my fibula from my left leg to create a 3D jaw. My lower teeth were also completely removed, as were my gums entirely; normal dentures cannot be made because there is no space without gums.I was in an induced coma for two weeks; afterwards, I didn’t know where I was or what had happened, and I couldn’t speak or eat – I was fed via a feeding tube. After six weeks in hospital, I was allowed to go home and underwent a long period of rehabilitation. Now, to restore my teeth, I need implants that aren’t covered by insurance; the health insurance fund covers a little, but it remains an expensive procedure. The lower teeth also need to be replaced, and the upper teeth are gone too. To avoid getting into financial difficulties, I’m setting up this GoFundMe. I’d be grateful if you could support and share this – thank you very much.
