Hello everyone,

My name is Aurélie', I'm 45 years old, I'm the mother of a 13 year old teenager.

We live in the Gironde. We live in a small, quiet house in the heart of the countryside, because what my son and I have in common is that we both love nature.

Everything was going well until Dad left us in June 2021 because of a devastating cancer.

Since then life has become more than complicated, I've lost a great job, we've just bought a house, but it's far from finished, we call it 'the house of the 3 little pigs' because inside some of the walls are still bare and therefore made of brick. There's no heating, the roof has been damaged by hail and so on....

Morally and physically beaten down, I'm trying to fight, but I have to admit that I've been slow to get my head above water and the financial abyss has had time to deepen, and despite all the odd jobs I've held and all the welfare benefits I've received, I can't manage and my child is suffering as a result.

That's why, for the first time in my life, I'm asking for help, and I'm appealing to your generosity, please.

We only have 5/6 people who support us and no more family, because since the tragedy all that's left are these precious friends.

While many people surrounded us, we found ourselves very alone.

The process is difficult. I've always managed on my own, always worked hard and done the best I could,

I've never gone on welfare before, and now I don't have much choice but to try.

I can't thank you enough for your attention and your help, should you decide to grant it to us.

And please know that I'm not trying to make anyone feel sorry for me, just to tell you about our situation. I hope you'll understand.
