Support Alhassan Charity to Empower Underprivileged Children in Sierra Leone

Together, we can give children a better future.

My friend Mariatu Haja Sesay founded the Alhassan Charity Organization to promote access to education and essential support for underprivileged children in Sierra Leone, one of the poorest countries in the world.

Many children and families there face serious challenges, including poverty, lack of educational materials, hunger, and limited access to basic care. These challenges prevent children from attending school, learning effectively, and growing into healthy and productive adults.

Alhassan Charity works to empower these children, especially girls and children with disabilities, through inclusive, high quality education that unlocks their potential, breaks the cycle of poverty, and equips them to become changemakers within their communities.

Through feeding programs, school supplies, and community outreach, Alhassan Charity brings dignity, opportunity, and hope to children and families who need it most.

2026 PROGRAMMES:

Back-to-School Programme (September 2026): We are seeking funding to provide school uniforms, school supplies, learning materials, and educational support for vulnerable children. This initiative will help ensure they can return to school, continue their education, and build a brighter future by removing financial barriers to learning.

Ability Club Launch (November 2026): Funding will support the launch of the Ability Club in November 2026, creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for children and young people with disabilities. Through educational support, life skills training, recreational activities, mentorship, and empowerment programmes, the club will help participants build confidence, develop their potential, and promote greater inclusion within their communities.
