Description
Hi, my name is
Justine and I’m a work-study student in Lyon. I’m asking for your help today because I have orthodontic problems which mean I’ll need to have jaw surgery sometime next year (osteotomy). Luckily, this surgery is covered by the National Health Service, but the pre-operative orthodontic treatment, which is mandatory before the operation, isn’t (well, it’s reimbursed up to about €190 per term), bearing in mind that a term costs €1,200. My treatment will cost a total of €5,750 (quote on the next page). I have absolutely no idea how to manage this with my work-study programme; I barely have enough to make ends meet, and even then my parents have to help me, but I certainly don’t have €5,000.
I know it’s cheeky to ask for help like this, but I’m giving it a go anyway – nothing ventured, nothing gained. I really need to undergo this treatment; I have serious problems with TMJ disorder and tooth loss. If you could spare even just one euro, that would be brilliant. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
