Help Yousef and His Family Escape the Horror in Gaza

Description
Introduction:
My name is Yousef Shubair, and I’m a 22-year-old Palestinian living in Gaza. I’m not a father, nor a husband but I carry the weight of my family on my shoulders. I’ve become the strength for those around me my mother, my father, my siblings, my nieces and nephews because someone has to be.
Today, I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea. My family and I are living through a genocide. We had to flee from our home in Khan Younis and are now surviving in two makeshift tents in Mawasi AI-Qarara. The conditions are heartbreaking. There’s hardly any food. Prices are impossible. And the children cry daily not from boredom, but from hunger.
I’m doing everything I can, but it’s not enough. I need your help. We need your help. Every donation no matter how small brings us closer to safety, to food, to life. Please, stand with us. Help us escape this nightmare and give my family a chance to live with dignity.
Personal Story / Inspiration:
Before this crisis, we lived in Khan Younis a small home filled with laughter, love, and family. I’m the second-oldest of my siblings and have always taken on the role of protector. My days were filled with helping around the house, supporting my younger siblings, and caring for my nieces and nephews. I’ve always believed in responsibility and hope, even in the face of hardship.
But the war has changed everything.
Our home was destroyed. Our community shattered. And suddenly, everything we had disappeared. We were forced to flee with almost nothing seeking safety wherever we could find it. Now, we live in two fragile tents with no privacy, no comfort, and little hope.
Every day, I watch my parents struggle. I watch my younger siblings trying to stay brave. I hear the cries of our little ones my nieces and nephews as hunger becomes a constant companion. I do my best to be strong for them. But the truth is I am scared, exhausted, and out of options.
Still, I believe that good people exist. People who care. People who will take action when others are suffering. That belief keeps me going. And that’s why I’ve created this campaign because I know that with your help, we can escape this devastation and begin a new chapter of safety and survival.
Problem Statement:
The situation in Gaza is catastrophic. The ongoing genocide has decimated communities, shattered homes, and left innocent civilians to suffer in silence. Over 2 million people are trapped in what many now describe as an open-air prison. The world sees glimpses of our reality through screens, but we live it every moment of every day.
There is little to no access to food, clean water, electricity, or medical care. Prices for basic necessities have skyrocketed beyond imagination. A loaf of bread is now considered a luxury. Children, like mine, cry daily from starvation and trauma. Parents, like me, are helpless, watching the light in their children’s eyes dim with each passing day.
We cannot continue to live like this. We need to leave but even escaping requires resources we simply do not have. Without financial help, we are stuck in a death trap with no way out.
Solution:
Your support is our way to freedom.
This campaign aims to raise €35,000 to help us escape Gaza and begin a new life somewhere safe. Your donation will directly cover:
Emergency travel documentation and visa applications
Legal and administrative fees for emigration
Safe passage and transportation out of Gaza
Temporary housing in a safe host country
Basic living costs: food, water, electricity
Medical and psychological care for the children
Schooling and educational materials
Essential clothing and hygiene products
We are not asking for a luxury life we are asking for the chance to live. To breathe. To exist beyond trauma.
Project Details:
Our immediate needs are critical: survival today, and safety tomorrow. Our long-term goal is resettlement in a peaceful country where our children can resume their education and we can rebuild our lives with dignity.
The funds will be used step-by-step to handle our escape from Gaza:
Document Preparation: Obtaining travel permits, visas, and exit authorization.
Transit Logistics: Covering the cost of transportation and safe passage through border crossings.
Temporary Settlement: Paying for short-term housing and basic supplies as we transition to a new life.
Sustainable Recovery: Supporting our reintegration into society—finding work, enrolling children in school, and getting access to healthcare.
Each euro donated brings us closer to survival, stability, and healing.
