🕯️ odnowienie kącika sprzedaży świec,
🍽️ odświeżenie i reorganizację aneksu kuchennego,
🧺 renowację zakrystii,

Większość tych prac została wykonana dzięki bezinteresownej, wolontaryjnej pracy naszych parafian, którym z całego serca dziękujemy! 🤲
Dziękujemy również wszystkim, którzy wspierają naszą zbiórkę – duchowo, finansowo i fizycznie. Remont nadal trwa, a przed nami kolejne etapy. Każda pomoc jest bezcenna! 💒

Description
Introduction & Our Heritage
This year marks the 10th anniversary of our polish-speaking Orthodox parish in Brussels—the first of its kind abroad. Founded in response to the spiritual needs of our community, our parish was established through the support of hundreds who signed a petition for pastoral care. Rooted in the traditions of Podlaskie—a region known for its deep Orthodox heritage—we now have around 100 regular worshippers, mostly families with children, who cherish their shared faith.
Our Sanctuary & Community
Initially, we held services in an ecumenical chapel in central Brussels. Since 2016, we have been blessed to call the Church of St. Gerard our home. Located on the outskirts of the city, this church is more than a building—it is a sanctuary for Polish Orthodox believers, as well as people from various nationalities, including Ukrainian refugees seeking solace during difficult times.
The Renovation Project: Restoring the Heart of Our Church
We have embarked on an essential project to adapt our church building to better serve Orthodox worship. The first phase focuses on renovating the altar area—the heart of our sacred space. Planned improvements include:
- Replacing and upgrading the flooring
- Restoring and enhancing the walls
- Renovating window joinery for improved aesthetics and functionality
- Installing modern, effective lighting
- Constructing a new altar and iconostasis t
