🌊 First Pond is Now Taking Shape! 🦆
We are so excited to share this important milestone with you — the first pond at Noah Ark Sanctuary is officially under construction! 🎉
This pond will soon become a key part of our natural water system, providing: ✅ A safe home for fish, amphibians, aquatic plants, and birds
✅ A clean, natural water source to support biodiversity across the sanctuary
✅ Part of the future connected lake and stream system that will bring life and balance back to this land
In these photos, you can see the first stages of digging and land preparation. It might look like just a hole now — but it’s the first step toward a living, thriving ecosystem. 🌿
💚 Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and supported this project so far! Your contribution is directly making this possible.
This is just the beginning — one pond closer to our dream of a sanctuary where life can grow, heal, and return to the wild.
🙏 Stay tuned for more updates as we continue building together!

Description
🕊️
Welcome to Noah Ark Sanctuary, a unique and peaceful space where animals and plants are given the chance to grow, heal, and return to nature.
Our mission is clear: to preserve, breed, and reintroduce birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and plants into the wild — while also restoring the lost connection between children, animals, and the natural world.
Set on 4.5 acres of beautiful land at the foot of the Rhodope Mountains, the sanctuary is being built as a self-sustained, eco-friendly environment, carefully designed to restore biodiversity and support local ecosystems.
This is more than just a rescue — it's where preservation meets innovation:
a place where natural habitats are brought to life through modern, sustainable systems, all working together to support life at every level.
Join us on this journey to rebuild what nature once had — and help us create a space where future generations can once again experience the magic of wildlife, up close and free.
🌍
Where the Sanctuary Lives – Our Land and Vision
The Noah Ark Sanctuary is located on 4.5 acres of pristine land in Southern Bulgaria, at the foot of the Rhodope Mountains a region famous for its clean air, rich biodiversity, and breathtaking natural beauty.
The land features:
- Gently sloped meadows, perfect for natural water flow and connected lake systems
- Sun-filled spaces, ideal for the food forest, fruit trees, and solar energy production
- Forest edges and shaded zones, creating safe shelter for amphibians, reptiles, and birdlife
- Fertile soil and clean water access, supporting sustainable agriculture and eco-projects
This special location allows us to build not only a sanctuary but a thriving ecosystem working in harmony with nature to provide the perfect conditions for animal breeding, care, and reintroduction.
🌱
