Dear fellow human beings,

I am writing to ask for your support as we are in a difficult life situation. I am currently on maternity leave and only have an income of €1000. My partner is unemployed and is not entitled to unemployment benefit, so he has no income. I have a total of 5 children Dennis 15 years, Fabian 11 years, David 7 years, Carina 6 years and Sofia 9 months old. Only 3 children live with us. Due to the difficult housing situation, the 2 older children Dennis and Fabian live with their grandmother.

David is mentally and physically impaired and was born that way. Although he is 7 years old, he is developing like a 10-month-old baby. He has beam hypoplasia (the left and right hemispheres of his brain don't work like ours), he doesn't communicate and doesn't eat on his own.

We live in a house in need of renovation with mould and sometimes there is no floor inside.

We don't have a facade and it's also quite cold in the house.

We've been dealing with this situation for years now. We've invested all our money in it. I can't even remember the last time I bought myself something to wear. My husband only has three pairs of trousers and he's been wearing them for months. They're already completely washed out. The children also only get second-hand clothes. Yes, it sounds sad when I read that, but unfortunately our situation is like that at the moment.

We want to give the children

create a safe roof over their heads,

free from mould and dangers

A happy home: toys, furniture, clothes and everything that makes children smile should be given back to them
