This is a story about Caiclyn Portia (called Portia) and her need for emergency Heart Surgery in which we are asking your help us save her life.

In 2015 under the Doctor and Nurses strike in Nairobi Kenya, Portia was born prematurely at the Kenyatta National Hospital. Due to the strike, she was not taken good care of by the staff and we helped move her to a private hospital in Thika, in Kenya saving her life. Holding that small, tiny girl in my hands touched my heart so much, and bound me to her in a way that I feel very close to her, as does the supporter Nancy Who travelled with the mother and daughter to India where they are right now. 

In 2017 she had tests done in Kenya and it turned out she had a hole in one of her heart valves, we managed to collect enough funds over some time with Family and Friends to get her to India for heart surgery, a surgery where the heart valves were to last until she was 13-14 years old.

Until about 2 weeks ago she was a fresh 9-year-old girl, but now her heart valves that were to last until she is around 13-14 have failed and we had to rush her to India for a checkup and repairs this past Saturday.

(After it was found out, we applied for a visa on the 14th of March 2025, and on Saturday the 15th of March in the morning when the visa was out we booked her the airline ticket to fly to India)

What was thought to be a repair of the heart valves, unfortunately, turned out to be much worse after her check-up Yesterday Monday the 17th of March, 2025. It showed that she was in a CRITICAL condition as stated in the medical documents, worse than anticipated and she requires emergency surgery or she are at high risk of dying within a very short time.

Today, Tuesday the 18th of March 2025 she has gone to the ICU for preparation but there is not enough money for her surgery or even to start. 

So I ask you HUMBLY and on my knees to support this little 9-year-old girl and help save her life.

The mother and the support are with her in India at the Medanta Medicity hospital and need your support, no matter how big or small it is any support is appreciated and will be sent directly to them there. We will keep you updated every day on her condition and try and send pictures as well to let you know what is happening.

Right now they need 2500 USD urgently, the total amount is anticipated to be around 6000-7000 USD. I'll update everyone on this page accordingly and on my WhatsApp.

The funds will be used for the treatment of her heart, including accommodation, medical, potential surgery, etc.

Tuesday the 18th March, 2025:

Yesterday before the ICU, they were trying to cheer her up, so She, her mother, and Nancy, the lady with them for support, are among other things playing K-Pop, the girl's favourite music. and hope to see her smile a little.

Wednesday the 19th of March 2025:

She is now under medication that will try and open the valve. she is now on her second dose. The first dose was yesterday night. The doses have risks like bleeding in the brain and internal bleeding but that's the risk at the moment as they are trying to have the valves work without surgery. If the 2nd dose doesn't work, we are looking at surgery to have the valve function again.
