Dear friends!

We are reaching out to as many as possible to bring into awareness the extreme corruption and unjust treatment happening in India, and to ask for your support in the following case.  

Beloved Sami Hilden (36) and 2 other swedish friends, Joel Carlstrom (33) and Andreas Calic (39) were living together in Goa, India, in a flat where on June 9th 2025 police broke in, searched and found certain substances they were owning for medicinal use and purposes. After being taken to the police station, one police officer confirmed to them a 3-6 month jail period. 

However, the case was escalating..

The next day, the guys were taken back to their apartment again, sadly to find out that, while they were at the police station, corrupt officers planted a much bigger amount of substances in their flat and arrested them again (ask for their flat keys the day before).

The case, because of the 'newly' found higher amount, got shifted into the highest category, that is commercial use, with much higher jail time and charges. (Unfortunately, this behaviour from certain individuals to tip the police, if not wanting 'someone' around is quite usual in India)

The guys are well known as kind hearted, and highly spiritual beings. They're locked up in jail and could easily get over 10 years to remain there. They got put into a prison cell, sleep on concrete floor without beds and not being fed sufficient meals.

The ongoing investigation, court hearings and custody can take years and cost huge amounts of money, especially with bail and/or deportation charges.

Their families, children, including Lilla (8), the daughter of Sami, are worrying but unfortunately no one is able to pay for their expenses. 

For this very reason, we have set up this fundraiser page to reach out for financial support for lawyer fees, bail, deportation ( if possible) and/or any other fines and charges that would be necessary to pay or own in order to be able to protect themselves from the outside.

We have found the right lawyer who is not afraid of standing up against corruption but for justice.

We kindly ask you to donate in order for the lawyer to start the process of bail application, for Sami, Joel and Andreas to be free and reunite with their families.. sooner than later. 🙏🏼
