My name is David, and I will soon face one of the most difficult moments of my life. In the coming weeks, I will have to place my father in a retirement home, as his Alzheimer's disease continues to progress. He will need constant medical care and supervision that I won’t be able to provide alone.

The costs associated with his care will put me in serious financial difficulty. Despite doing everything I can to prepare, these expenses will likely endanger my home and my family’s stability.
