My name is Andrea and I have a 'small' dream: to find and restore the last car my grandfather owned. A car that I found on the internet when I was a kid (it was 2005, I was 16) and I remember it as if it were yesterday, we took the train from Rome to Santa Maria Capua Vetere to see it. Uncomfortable journey, standing. There were a few little problems but the kilometres were few and the price was negotiable. It was his dream, that model, that colour. We did not return home by train but comfortably by car, the same day! In a 1993 Lancia Thema Turbo 16v LX. Help me become a child again as he became a child again in that car when he drove it home! I never had a father and my grandfather tried to fill that role from a very young age... introducing me to the world of engines, mechanics and the 'do-it-yourself-three-for-three'. In his own small way he tried to make me independent and I will always thank him for that. My idea is to find it, restore it and resell it to another enthusiast and then donate the proceeds to the Associazione Italiana Ricerca Alzheimer Onlus.
