A little holiday for big children's hearts

Dear fellow human beings,

I am writing to you today with a heartfelt request. I am a single mum of wonderful children who show me every day what real strength, solidarity and love mean.

Our days are often characterised by challenges that we overcome with courage and mutual support. But unfortunately, one thing falls by the wayside far too often: carefree time away from everyday life. A holiday together - getting away, taking a deep breath, recharging our batteries - has been an unattainable dream for us for years. We simply don't have enough money to spend even a few days by the sea or in the mountains.

I want so much to give my children a bit of normality, lightness and adventure during the summer holidays. A few days where they can just be children - full of laughter, sunshine and unforgettable moments.
