Description
Tina has devoted her entire adult life to her greatest passion: dogs - and in particular the lovable Tollare breed. She has trained, competed and lived for her four-legged friends with great dedication. Dogs have not just been an interest, they have been a way of life, a purpose, and a light in everyday life.
Tina has suffered from various illnesses in recent years, including stroke, diabetes and, in 2021, a heart attack resulting in a triple bypass. She has not been able to return to work and was forced to take early retirement in 2024, with the result that her pension is very low. Her active daily life of training, working and competing was replaced by a fight for health, recovery - and survival.
At her side has been her faithful Tollare, Betty. A natural companion, best friend and lifeline. The two have been through everything together. But now it is Betty who has fallen ill. She has been diagnosed with high blood pressure and kidney failure - a heavy and unexpected message that means high veterinary costs. The medicine alone costs SEK 800 - every 25 days. The veterinary insurance has long since been eaten up by the countless visits, examinations and investigations.
For Tina, who lives on a small pension, this is an impossible financial situation. It's not just about saving Betty's life, but also about saving Tina's. Because when life has fallen apart, dogs have always been her strength and purpose.
We know Betty's time may not be long - but every day together means everything. That's why we're starting this fundraiser. We want to help Tina give Betty the care she needs - and when the day comes that Betty can't take it anymore, give Tina the chance to find a new four-legged friend. A dog to love, to live for, to train. Maybe even a future hunting champion.
To help Tina is to help a human back to meaning. To give her the chance to continue the life she loved - with a dog by her side.
For 50.000 SEK (which is the fundraising goal where I donate 10% of the sum) this would cover the veterinary costs that the insurance did not cover, medicine for Betty and a new four-legged friend when that day will sadly come.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
For Betty. For Tina. For the future and for the Tollar world.
Thank you for caring.
