Hi, my name is Ares, and I’m a 20-year-old trans man living in Greece. Starting hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has been life-changing for me, helping me feel more at home in my body. However, another crucial step in my transition is top surgery.

While Greece's public healthcare covers part of the cost, it doesn’t fully fund the procedure. I will need to pay €2,000 out of pocket, which is a huge amount for me. I'm currently unemployed due to physical and mental disabilities, and I don’t have family support. Though I’m in the process of applying for benefits, I have no steady income right now.

This surgery is not just about physical changes—it’s about relieving the daily discomfort and dysphoria that comes with having a chest that doesn’t align with who I am. It will allow me to move through life with greater ease, confidence, and well-being.
