Description
Help Kevin take his first steps towards a normal life!
“Every child deserves the chance to run, play and discover the world on their own two feet. Kevin, at just four years old, fights every day for this dream.”
At just 3 months old, when life was only just beginning, a severe form of epilepsy turned little Kevin’s world upside down. Repeated seizures and aggressive treatments slowed his motor development, turning simple gestures – such as sitting up or taking his first steps – into real mountains to climb.
Today, at the age of 4, Kevin is a winner: his epilepsy is under control, but the scars it has left behind demand a new battle.
🧠 His current struggle: Walking therapy
Kevin cannot yet walk unaided, but his little body wants and demands movement. Doctors and therapists have given us the best news: Kevin has huge potential and, through intensive and continuous therapy, he CAN start walking!
However, neuromotor recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. To make progress, he needs the following every day:
Intensive physiotherapy (gait re-education and muscle strengthening).
Occupational therapy and sensory stimulation.
Special orthopaedic equipment and orthoses adapted to his growth.
Recovery programmes in specialist centres (medical robotics yields amazing results at his age).
💰 Why do we need your help?
The costs of these therapies are enormous and far exceed our means as a family. A single month of rehabilitation costs thousands of lei, and consistency is the key to success: if we stop, Kevin’s progress will be lost. Thank you
