Our Julek was born in May 2024 with trisomy 21. Julek was diagnosed with a ventricular septal aneurysm. Less than two weeks after birth, he was transported to a clinical hospital in Poznań with a diagnosis of septic shock with multiple organ failure and transient myeloproliferative syndrome (and it started with a simple runny nose). He spent almost 100 days in the intensive care unit. Following lengthy treatment, including intubation, the decision was made to insert a tracheostomy tube. The day after the procedure, he developed acute pneumonia due to a bacterial infection, which prolonged Julian's hospitalisation. Our brave little Julian is re-learning to drink from a bottle. He requires constant physiotherapy classes. In addition, he has to be under constant care of an oncologist, a cardiologist, an endocrinologist and other specialists. At the moment, Julek is mechanically ventilated and requires oxygen therapy. It is important to us as parents that Julek returns to full strength as soon as possible and can enjoy his childhood. We want him to develop and learn about the world, because he is very curious about it. Thank you very much for every zloty for the little warrior - Our King Julian.
