Hello everyone,

My name is Alessandra and I am the human mum to four six-month-old kittens and also to their mum, whom we adopted after she was abandoned in the countryside. And as she was pregnant, we kept her kittens too, because they’ve become part of the family as well. When your heart takes over, it’s hard to listen to the voice of reason telling you: ‘Look, there’ll be five times the expenses, five times the medicine, and lots of other things’.

For this reason, given the costs, we decided to take advantage of a free neutering campaign in our town two weekends ago.

We had the little boy and one of the three girls neutered (we’d already had the mum done at the clinic). That’s when our agony began, our nightmare. They caught the parvovirus because, unfortunately, we hadn’t vaccinated them yet due to the costs – a mistake that triggered a chain of infection. We are desperate because the costs are really high – the hospital stays, but above all we need help to buy treatment and medicines, particularly interferon, which could offer a glimmer of hope.
