Hi everyone,

We’re writing to you honestly now, because it’s becoming very difficult for us to make any progress on our own.

We live in a house that has fallen into such a state of disrepair over the years that, without major renovation, it is becoming increasingly difficult to live there safely and peacefully. Problems keep cropping up – walls, roof, wiring – and fixing them costs far more than we can manage on our own.

Our situation is further complicated by the fact that:

– one of us is long-term unemployed

– we have significant expenses and outstanding debts

– we look after our two dogs, who are like family to us

– animal welfare is important to us, and we support it as much as we can

– at the same time, we are helping our elderly, sick parents, who are dependent on us

Despite all this, no matter how hard we try to save and plan ahead, we simply cannot set aside enough money to start the necessary renovations.

We don’t want a perfect home.

Just a safe, liveable place where we don’t have to worry about what might break next.
