My name is Jimes de Souza, I am originally from Brazil, but I have been living in Spain for 27 years. I currently work in the logistics sector, and although my background is in mechanics and mechanical engineering, I have not been able to fully develop myself in those fields. However, I have always had a deep passion for education and the desire to teach, especially to the new generations.

I am a father of two young children, and although I face personal challenges, such as being a separated parent and the commitment to look after my children's welfare, I feel it is time to act on a project that can transform lives. Thus my dream was born: to create a language school in the jungle of Pucallpa, Peru. This project is not only of personal value to me, but is also deeply connected to my daughter, who was born in Lima, Peru, and to my desire to give something valuable back to this region that has marked me so much.

The purpose of the school is to offer children and young people from the jungle the opportunity to learn languages such as English, Portuguese, Italian, German and French, opening doors to a future full of opportunities. Access to quality education, especially in foreign languages, can radically change the destiny of young people, providing them with the tools to access better jobs and become culturally enriched.

This will be a unique project, not only because it will serve children and young people in a rural area, but also because it will open the door to international collaboration. As a native Portuguese speaker, I speak Spanish and understand a little Italian, and my daughter has knowledge of Italian and German. My idea is that the school will also serve as a meeting point for those who wish to do their bit by teaching their mother tongue to children and young people in the community. German, Italian, French or English speakers can join the project and be an active part of the teaching, providing a unique cultural experience for all.

Initially, I will be responsible for the construction of the school on land I own in Pucallpa, and over time, I hope it will become a vibrant space for international learning and collaboration. The funds I raise will go towards building the facilities, purchasing educational materials, and creating a suitable environment for language teaching.

In addition, I will invite German, French, Italian and English-speaking volunteers to actively participate in the project, offering accommodation and support while contributing directly to the teaching of the community. My aim is that this project will not only be a school, but also a meeting point for different cultures who wish to make a difference in the world.
