Here are some updates from today, 19 September, on Lhasagnetta:
•The bone marrow aspirate revealed a massive presence of Leishmania
•She had a urine test and the results will be available tomorrow
•She had an abdominal ultrasound and, in addition to the obvious kidney damage, something is also wrong with her spleen (for now, the priority remains to lower her kidney values; if the kidney issue isn’t resolved at least a little, it won’t be possible to treat the rest!)
•Today she was in day care and had several IV drips
•As soon as she got home, she happily and heartily ate 300g of Renal food (she hadn’t eaten with any appetite for many days; she’d mostly turned her nose up at everything or tasted it and then left it, so at least this is a positive sign 🙏)
Thank you so much for everything,
Alba & Lhasa

Description
Good morning,
With a sadness I cannot explain, and a huge void in my heart, I must tell you that on Monday 29 September at around 4.30 pm, Lhasagna passed away
My name is Alba,
I have set up this fundraiser because one of my little girls, Lhasagna, who is just 7 years old, is very ill.
Although her test results were perfect 10 months ago, they are now dire.
Severe kidney failure,
anaemia,
an ongoing infection,
Liver problems...
We are carrying out all the necessary tests (she was admitted today for a PCR test, urine X-ray and fluid therapy)
Leishmaniasis is suspected... She will undergo a bone marrow biopsy.
The costs are high
€117 as of 17/09
Today, 19/09, it’s €255, to which we’ll add €40 per day for day hospital care (for at least 5 days) and new tests to see if her kidneys are responding (around €75)
I’m not someone who asks for help easily, but Lhasagna deserves this and more.
Lhasagna is a wonderful dog; I adopted her by ‘mistake’... Lhasagna was abandoned as a puppy and I took her in to foster her whilst waiting for a wonderful adoption to be found... But then a bond of love grew between us that I cannot put into words... And so, in the end, she stayed with me.
Lhasagna is a special dog; over the years, I have often acted as a foster mum to dogs and cats abandoned when they were just a few days old... And she has been, for me and for them, an invaluable help... She treated all those little ones as if they were her own; she has always been a caring, attentive and strict mum (😅) even though she has never given birth herself.
Across Italy, there are many dogs and cats who are alive thanks to her.
For about five years now, Lhasagna has had a little sister (not by blood) called Bibi, whom we found in the street, severely malnourished and with seven puppies (all of whom have now been adopted)... She welcomed her in the way only the best sisters can. She took her under her wing and now they live in perfect harmony; they can’t bear to be apart... They are a strange and wonderful pair.
If you can help with the costs, you will be giving a gift to Lhasa and, by extension, to Bibi too, who deserves to have a big sister for many years to come.
Not least, you’ll be giving a gift to me, who lives to help animals, whatever species they may be. My life is dedicated to them... And I can’t bear the thought of losing the most beautiful part of my heart.
I know these are tough times for everyone, so if you can’t help us, that’s fine... But perhaps you could help us simply by sharing this fundraiser.
If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I will, of course, provide receipts for all expenses incurred and anticipated.
Thank you so much
Lhasagna, Bibi and Alba
Forza Lhasagna! Zia Annina è con voi 💪🏻❤️🐾
