Help Moataz survive and find hope outside of Gaza
Help Moataz survive and find hope outside of Gaza
What will you fundraise for today?
Description
I am organising this fundraising campaign for Al-Moataz Al-Najjar, a 27-year-old Palestinian accountant from Gaza. He is the uncle of Hanan, Ahmad and Lana, three young children who have relied on his support. Moataz has a good heart and has been supporting his extended family in whatever way he can. Now he needs our help!
Moataz possesses academic qualifications and professional experience; however, due to the ongoing violence being inflicted on the civilians in Gaza, he has lost his job and savings. While Moataz faces many challenges, surviving hunger and bombardment, this fundraising campaign has a specific goal: to help him secure enough funds to travel abroad when the border crossing opens. Having lost his savings during the crisis, Moataz fears that when travel opportunities arise, he won't have the financial means to take them.
Help Moataz in any way you can; even a small donation means the world to those who have lost everything.
Thank you all. ❤️
With love and gratitude, Jeanette
Moataz says: "If you had asked me two years ago about my life, I would have told you about my ambitions, my work as an accountant, my plans to travel and seek a better future. I would have spoken of my dreams, which I saw gradually coming true. But now, as I write these words, I don't know how to describe my life except as a struggle for survival—a continuous attempt to endure in a war that has drained everything, even hope. My greatest worry is that when the border crossing opens, I won't be able to travel due to financial constraints. I had saved money for travel in early 2024, but those savings are now gone. I don't want a lack of funds to be the reason I lose the chance to build a new future outside Gaza. I possess the qualifications, skills, and determination to build a successful life. All I need is the opportunity to start somewhere new, where I can use my education and experience to create a better future for myself. I know that the world is full of kindness and that generous hearts are willing to give hope and offer a final lifeline. If you are reading this, I ask only for support to overcome this ordeal, to fulfil my dream of travelling when the opportunity arises, and to prevent my future from collapsing before my eyes. "
Moataz did not choose to live in war, he did not choose for his future to be threatened, and he did not choose for me to write these words on his behalf while he struggles to afford the most basic necessities. He once believed he could build his life; he had dreams, plans, and faith that hard work and perseverance could make a difference. But in Gaza, everything has been stolen. Give what you can. Thank you.
