Description
The event has already taken place, but if you were unable to attend, we invite you to participate by donating during this week.
(The 4fund platform will add a commission when you make your donation; this contribution is optional. If you wish, you can set it to zero and confirm that you do not want to contribute to the platform.)
Below is some information about the work of Palestinian Voices and the Al Quds Association :
The Al Quds Association has been working with the Canaan Institute of New Pedagogy in the Gaza Strip for many years.
The projects are for child protection, mainly focused on psychosocial support for children in Gaza and their families. All projects prioritise children's rights and educational and psychosocial support.
In addition to the projects, donations are transferred with the aim of meeting the most basic needs in the Strip.
The latest fundraiser for Al Quds helped to organise the "Somacea" community meal for 370 refugee families in the city of Hamad, east of Khanyonis (Gaza), in early February.
Palestinian Voices for Justice is made up of Palestinians who are in constant and direct contact with people in their cities and refugee camps. Aid campaigns are targeted at both the West Bank and Gaza.
More than 70 campaigns of various kinds have already been carried out. These include water, bread, chicken and contributions to soup kitchens (as can be seen in the attached video). There is a diversity of collaborating entities, such as Axarquía con Palestina, with which there is a great sense of brotherhood.
The Palestinians say of themselves:
We are strong because we do not allow pain to turn us into shadows of ourselves.
We do not let injustice rob us of our humanity, nor do we let disappointment kill our hope.
We live under the weight of loss, and yet we walk steadfastly.
It hurts... but we do not give up. We suffer... but we do not break. We are not always well, but we refuse to be defined by our wounds. We are a people who know how to stand tall, even when the earth becomes heavy beneath our feet.
Every scar, every memory, every tear reminds us that we are still here, that we are still fighting to be ourselves in a world that insists on denying us.
And yet, we continue to smile, we continue to speak with tenderness, we continue to live...
because our strength lies not in avoiding pain, but in not allowing it to destroy us.
