Description
Hello, I’m Beatrice from Dogs4life asdps. Our association was originally set up as an ASD, but we have recently applied to become an APS as well. I am a dog trainer, veterinary technician, dog first-aid instructor and dog assistant in AAI (Animal-Assisted Interventions, formerly known as pet therapy). We have a full team and our aim is to raise funds through the ‘5xmille’ scheme and via our association so that we can provide free Animal-Assisted Interventions both for schools and for people with disabilities who can benefit from activities with dogs – dogs that are trained and ready to work in the setting with the future participants in these activities. We are asking for these funds so that we can build an indoor facility to accommodate them even when the weather is bad and it is cold, ensuring that the programmes already underway are not interrupted. We already have the dog centre; we would like to adapt it for assisted interventions, but we cannot do this on our own, and we do not wish to place a financial burden on families but rather to make everything free for those who need it.
