Description
Every child has a dream. Some children dream of new toys, a long-awaited trip... And others dream of coming home.
A return home.
For our young heroes, this is not just a longing to be with their loved ones, but above all a symbol of victory over their most dangerous enemy – cancer. Victory means they will once again be able to smell the aroma of a home-cooked meal, play with their siblings, cuddle a pet they haven’t seen for months, and fall asleep in their own bed.
Every day, our young patients wage a heroic battle against cancer, with hospital corridors and operating theatres – their temporary home – serving as the battlefield. Their daily lives are filled with tests, procedures and endless courses of medication. Despite this, they do not lose hope and bravely face all adversities.

We want our young patients to aim high and wide, to fulfil their dreams… although, in truth, it all comes down to one thing –health. Returning home gives our patients and us a new lease of life, but for a child to recover,we need your support, including financialsupport.

“I dream of a million donors who will donate one zloty to us every month…”– these are the words of Małgorzata Dutkiewicz, Presidentof the Herosi Foundation, which perfectly capture our ambitions. We believe that each of us knows that doing good and helping the smaller and weaker members of society isn’t that difficult; all it takes is one zloty a month... 12 zlotys a year is the price of a single coffee in a café.
Every donation, however small but regular, makes ourHeroesstronger! Every zloty helps them recover. For almost 15 years, the Herosi Foundation has been proving that it understands children and young people with cancer undergoing treatment atthe IMID Oncology Clinic; we know what parents and doctors need, and we direct the funds entrusted to us straight there. We purchase non-reimbursable chemotherapy to at least initially relieve this burden from parents; we assist with rehabilitation; we transport our patients to tests and treatment by taxi; we also buy birthday presents; and our volunteers are present on the ward to, for example, play cards…
"...a million zlotys from a million donors"– this will allow us to act on your behalf, so that every Little Hero has a chance at good health!
