Description
Dear Donor,
My name is Attila Maczik, I am 35 years old and the proud father of two little girls. I was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour 6.5 years ago. During this time, due to the constantly recurring disease, I have undergone four open skull surgeries and numerous courses of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. My main support is my beloved wife, who looks after me round the clock, cares for me and accompanies me to my medical appointments, as my epileptic seizures, the weakness on my left side and the vision impairment on my left eye resulting from the surgery hinder my daily life.
The doctors in our country have given up on my recovery, but every cloud has a silver lining! - In the hope of recovery, after a long search, I was able to start immunotherapy treatment in Germany thanks to fundraising and the support of family and friends, which has proved successful as it has, for the time being, STOPPED the rapid growth of the tumour. 🙂 However, I need to receive further doses to continue the treatment, and we have now exhausted our financial resources.
My goal is to raise €7,500, all of which would be spent on the next treatment, due at the end of June.
