I'm James Froggatt, you might well know me from my activities in #NAFO on Twitter. Over the past months I've been directly helping Ukrainians as best I can (as opposed to bonking Russia propaganda).

I am asking for your help urgently because unfortunately I have no money spare right now to help this particular individual. I have been in touch with a soldier/ nurse, Oleg, in Ukraine for some time. He's a qualified nurse and was called to the military hospital to help injured soliders when the war started.

He was then called to the front lines where he served his country but broken his ankle whilst fighting off Russians. His ankle was already damaged from a childhood fracture that had healing complications so was already weak.

He has just been summoned to the front lines again, but due to his local hospital being bombed (where his records have been lost) and his home having been bombed by Russians, cannot prove to the military office that he is currently unfit to serve. He is unfit to serve and will likely not survive in another round of combat because of his ankle - obviously he is very scared right now.

He is due to be summoned on the 7th May to the military enlistment office. He needs to have the relevant paper work to prove to them he is unfit to serve and the only way he can do this is fast-track a medical examination with the government so that he can prove, with the relevant paper work, that currently, he can't fight.

I hope you can all help me raise the money required to help my friend in the next 24 or 48 hours. I would appreciate it a great deal as there nothing more I can do financially personally to help him as much as I want to.
