Hello, we are a family of five – two adults and three children – and we also have other family members: a dog, some cats and a hedgehog. We are in serious financial difficulty. Mum has been ill for a long time; she had her first operation in May and is due to have a second one in February.She has damaged discs, which are putting pressure on her sciatic nerves. She has difficulty walking and cannot sit. She suffers from sleep apnoea and had a minor stroke in December. She has no income.The father is a driver, but his actual income differs from what the state calculates and is insufficient. He also often has to stay at home to look after the children. Unfortunately, we do not own our own home, and after paying the rent and our bills, we are left with less than the minimum subsistence level. The children cannot go on school trips, attend school camps or join any after-school clubs. This fundraising campaign has been set up to help the family secure cheaper accommodation and get by for a while longer until their mum is able to work again.She should be fully recovered within 90 days of her second operation.
