Description
Two years. That's how long Hold School, the only climbing gym in Ziemia Kłodzka (Poland), has existed. We've been climbing since we were teenagers, when we discovered the sport via 'Bou'd'brousse', a club in the north of France. In 2022, we decided to devote ourselves to passing on this passion.
We built Hold School from scratch, with the idea of creating a local climbing community in the Kłodzko region; Poland's mecca for sandstone climbing. We train children from the age of 4, young people and adults alike. We work with schools, after-school clubs, holiday clubs, etc. Over the last two years, we've worked tirelessly to improve and develop the gym so that it becomes a meeting place for climbing and mountain lovers.
Following storm Boris and the flooding it caused in our gym (2.56m of water covering the entire ground floor), we're going to have to start almost everything from scratch: cleaning and disinfecting the wall and holds, buying back the mattresses for the bouldering section, completely renovating the changing rooms and the birthday room, as well as the entire reception and café area.
The enormity of the losses incurred is beyond us. That's why we need your help! With a financial boost, we hope to be able to recover from this blow and quickly offer a new indoor climbing venue for the burgeoning local community!
We've lost everything except our determination to pass on our passion! With your help, nothing is lost! So thank you for any support you can give us.
