Hello everyone, my name is Piotr and I’m asking for your help for my brave little girl: Kana.
Kana is an American Bully puppy who has been fighting for her life since day one. It all started with a sudden bout of apnoea; I had to resuscitate her myself at home before rushing her to hospital, where she spent days in intensive care.
The Diagnosis: Megaesophagus and Aspiration Pneumonia
Kana was born with a congenital malformation called megaesophagus. Her oesophagus does not push food into her stomach; instead, it falls into her lungs, causing severe pneumonia. Every meal is a risk of choking for her.
Our Hope:
The tests give us a light at the end of the tunnel! Her lungs are healing and the doctors believe her condition may be treatable with surgery (Persistent Aortic Arch). The specialist clinic La Gallega will perform a fluoroscopy to confirm whether surgery can save her.
Kana has an iron will; she is playful and affectionate. We cannot give up now. Every donation is another step towards a life without fear for her. Thank you so much for your support!
