Description
Dear community,
Tudor Cristian Debu is a talented athlete who has been practising Speed Skating for over 7 years. He is a member of the CSU Brasov and ITalent Brasov clubs, coaches Marius Cristian Paraschivoiu and Falvius Valentin Dănilă. Tudor had the honour of representing Romania at this year's Youth Olympic Winter Games in Gangwon, South Korea, thanks to the support of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee (COSR), where he achieved the best result for Romania for this edition of the Games in Speed Skating, 17th place. Tudor is a multiple national champion or vice-champion in his age category in both long and short track speed skating and a keen runner, taking part, within time limits, in amateur running competitions over distances between 3000 and 12,000 metres.
However, apart from his participation in the Youth Olympiad at the beginning of 2024 and the preparation leading up to it, the athlete's participation in competitions in his more than seven years of activity has been possible with the financial support of his parents.
At the moment, Tudor aims to develop and get better and better in the sport for which he trains almost every day, but this also requires the appropriate financial support. There is no specific rink for Speed Skating in Romania, and athletes are forced to train on short skating rinks and through the efforts of parents or sponsors, outside the country - Germany or Poland.
The funds raised will be used for:
- specialised sports equipment
- participation in national competitions (competitions take place abroad - Romanian Cup, National Championships) and international competitions (Junior World Cup)
- covering the costs of physical and mental training
How can you help us?
- By donating money to help achieve the objectives
- Helping by paying directly for what is needed - equipment, accommodation, transport, other specific costs.
Any amount, large or small, can make a significant difference to Tudor's sporting journey.

About Tudor Cristian Debu
Tudor is a dedicated athlete who has faced many challenges to get where he is today. With your help, he can continue to dream and work to represent Romania to the best of his ability at international competitions.
The junior is qualified for the Speed Skating World Cup for the 2024/2025 season in the 500, 1000 and 1500 metres events, as well as the Mass Start event. On 25 October he is scheduled to depart for Germany to start specific training camp followed by a trip at the end of November to Poland where the two Junior World Cup legs will be held on 30 November and 1 December 2024, 7 and 8 December 2024 respectively.
At the moment it has minimal support thanks to the MOL Romania programme to promote young talent. Despite this support, the amount he needs is much higher and impossible to cover through family efforts. We are asking for your help because only with the amount needed to go on this trip - around € 2300 - will he have the chance to fight for his first dream, qualification for the final World Cup round in Italy next year.
Tudor is currently training on the ice of the Olympic Ice Rink in Brasov under the careful guidance of coach Marius Cristian Paraschivoiu and hopes to be able to train soon on the Speed Skating rink in Inzell and follow his dream.
After participating in the Winter Youth Olympic Winter Games, Debu Tudor Cristian Cristian became the runner-up in the Junior B category of the Speed Skating national championship, winning the longest event of the category, the 3000 metres.
