🌿 Why this fundraiser?

This project was born from a simple idea: to use art, technology and traditional storytelling to protect macaws and celebrate the cultures of Latin America.

The funds raised will be used to launch three complementary pillars:

• Scientific
• Cultural
• Environmental

All linked to a partner ecological reserve that has been actively protecting scarlet macaws for over 30 years.

🦜 1. Create a WildBook dedicated to scarlet macaws

We would like to develop a WildBook in collaboration with the Wild Me project.

👉 Objective:

• To identify individual scarlet macaws using photographs,
• Without microchips, without rings, without physical markers,
• Using visual recognition (plumage, patterns, morphology).

This system enables:

• 📸 Long-term monitoring of individuals,
• 🌱 A better understanding of their movements and reproduction,
• 🛡️ More effective protection against trafficking and human threats.

This is an ethical, non-invasive and scientific approach, designed to support biodiversity.

📖 2. Creating a comic book inspired by a Latin American indigenous tale

The project also includes the creation of a comic strip based on a traditional tale from a Latin American indigenous culture.

This comic strip will help to:

• 🌎 Share Indigenous knowledge and worldviews,
• 🦜 Portray macaws as living symbols of the forest,
• 🔗 Link storytelling, territory and biodiversity.

The story will bridge the past and the present, linking ancestral cultures with contemporary environmental issues.

🎨 3. Create generative digital art rooted in Latin American cultures

We are also developing a collection of generative digital art, inspired by Latin American cultures, their patterns, symbols and stories.

This art will have several objectives:

• 🎭 To highlight the cultural diversity of Latin America,
• 🧩 Visually connect the stories, characters and real macaws protected by the reserve,
• 💚 To provide financial support for the protection of macaws and local initiatives.

Each creation is conceived as an artistic extension of the living world, rather than simply a decorative piece.

🌱 How will the funds be used?

The funds will be used to:

• Launch the Macaw WildBook,
• Fund artistic and narrative creations (comics and generative art),
• Build an open, ethical and transparent project at the crossroads of science, art and ecology.
