Description
My name is Pietro, I am 57 years old and I have worked honestly, with dedication and sacrifice, all my life.
In 2002, I bought a small house in Palombara Sabina, in the province of Rome. It was my dream. A dream I built by getting up at 5 in the morning, travelling for hours to work far from home, and giving up everything to pay off that mortgage.
My ex-wife never really contributed: just a few odd jobs and many days spent in the bingo hall. I shouldered everything myself, financially and emotionally, until we separated in 2011. Since 2015, I have found peace again with my current wife, a hard-working woman full of values.
But in 2018 I was forced to leave the house, because it had to be sold and my ex-wife let other people move in, and since then the mortgage has gone unpaid. Neither I – because I had to pay the rent for the house where I now live with my current wife – nor my ex-wife were able to continue paying.
Now, that house is about to go to auction. I don’t know exactly when it will go to auction, but I reckon it will be soon.
A house built with hard work, with love, with years of life and dreams inside. I cannot lose it.
That is why I am asking for help. It is not easy to write these words. But I know there are people out there with big hearts.
I need to raise €60,000 to save it before it is sold.
Any help, no matter how small, will be a blessing to me.
Thank you to those who share this, to those who donate, and to those who simply spare a thought for me.
With gratitude,
Pietro
