My name is Alex and together with my wife, Nicoleta, and our son, Alexandru, we live in Aldaia, Valencia.

On 29 October 2024, our town was hit by the worst flood ever recorded. Although our home escaped relatively unscathed, the flooding brought us significant losses and left us in an extremely difficult situation.

We lost a car, two scooters and an entire storeroom where we kept essentials for everyday life: vacuum cleaner, tools, carpets, winter clothes, shoes and much more. These losses are devastating for us, as we now have no means of transport and have been left without the basic items we needed to carry on with our daily lives.

We are grateful to be alive and well, but at the same time we are in great uncertainty. The reality is that we don't know where to start rebuilding what we have lost. At this time, your help is essential if we are to recover and get through this extremely difficult period.

The funds raised will be used to replace the car and a scooter, which were our main means of transport, as well as to buy essentials such as lost winter clothes and items from our storeroom. With your help, we hope to get through this difficult time and rebuild our lives step by step.

Please realise that this is not just a small gesture. In this area, without a vehicle, you can't get to work, buy groceries or find help. Everything around us is destroyed and the unaffected stores have empty shelves. We have to travel about 40 kilometres to find what we need.

In addition, 70 towns have been affected and hundreds of thousands of cars have been destroyed. Even those who haven't lost everything are badly affected.

For the first four days after the floods, we had no electricity, no gas, no running water and no GSM signal on our phones. It's been an extremely difficult time, but we are happy that we made it out alive.
