Dear reader. My name is Kristjan Gabrijelčič. I’m an eighteen-year-old passionate student from Nova Gorica, Slovenia. I’ve always loved film, TV, and all different kinds of entertainment and art. I’ve been trying to dive deep into all the knowledge from this area and slowly start a career in this industry since a very young age. I feel like I have so many stories to tell that may make someone’s day better, make them laugh and cry, make them think about important questions, relate to the characters, or simply inspire them to one day take the same path as me. I am currently studying in a Slovenian public high school with the “gimnazija” system and am lucky to have film and theatre subjects that have really enabled me to dive a bit deeper into film and tv magical world. Alongside my regular high school, I took an English online micro degree program in International film production where I worked with professionals from the field and different filmmakers from all around the world. I've recently completed my first bigger project, a short documentary discovering different countries through their coins called World of Coins (Svet Kovancev). I am starting this fundraiser as my family’s current financial situation prevents me from pursuing further education in this field. My dream is to study abroad and get all the necessary knowledge to start a career. I’m working hard, saving every spare cent, but the tuition for these kinds of schools is so high and there are very few scholarships that it simply got me into a desperate position. I believe I have great potential and I am working on making the most out of it. However, now I need your help in achieving the hardest step. I will never forget anyone who has helped me on this journey and hopefully one day audiences worldwide will enjoy in a wonderful piece of art because of your help.
