Together, let's fight against fibromyalgia
Together, let's fight against fibromyalgia
Description of the collection:
I've been living with fibromyalgia since 2008, but it wasn't until 2023 that I finally got an official diagnosis. Fibromyalgia is an invisible illness that is often difficult to diagnose and affects many people in France. Unfortunately, it is still not recognised as a disability, which complicates care and treatment.
In addition to fibromyalgia, I suffer from a number of associated syndromes that make my daily life even more difficult, such as :
- Carpal tunnel syndrome (pain and numbness in my hands and wrists).
- Irritable bowel syndrome (recurring digestive problems).
- Gynaecological problems such as papillomavirus, pelvic pain and other serious conditions.
- Hypersensitivity to noise, light, sunlight, car headlights, and even television, making every daily activity difficult.
- Hearing and concentration problems, with forgetfulness of words, difficulty finding sentences, or even saying words without realising it, which can be extremely confusing.
- Lack of strength in the arms, hands and fingers, making simple gestures difficult to perform.
- Memory problems and occasions when tasks and events are forgotten.
- Drug treatments (Doliprane, ibuprofen, tramadol, morphine, etc.) that only partially relieve the pain and cause serious side-effects such as mood disorders, depression and a loss of contact with the outside world.
This has prevented me from enjoying life's simple moments, and I haven't been able to go on holiday since 2017. This invisible disease affects every aspect of my daily life.

Campaign Description:
Since 2008, I have been living with fibromyalgia, but it wasn't until 2023 that I finally received an official diagnosis. Fibromyalgia is an invisible and often difficult-to-diagnose disease that affects many people in France. Unfortunately, it is still not recognised as a disability, which complicates treatment and care.
In addition to fibromyalgia, I suffer from several associated syndromes that make my daily life even more difficult, such as:
- Carpal tunnel syndrome (pain and numbness in the hands and wrists).
- Irritable bowel syndrome (recurring digestive issues).
- Gynaecological problems such as the papillomavirus, pelvic pain, and other serious conditions.
- Hypersensitivity to noise, light, sunlight, car headlights, and even television, making each daily activity challenging.
- Auditory problems and concentration issues, including forgetfulness of words, difficulty recalling sentences, or even saying words that are completely out of context without realising it, which can be extremely confusing.
- Loss of strength in the arms, hands, and fingers, making simple tasks difficult.
- Memory issues and moments of forgetfulness about tasks and events.
- Medications (such as paracetamol, ibuprofen, tramadol, morphine, etc.) that only partially relieve the pain and cause serious side effects, such as mood disorders, depression, and a loss of connection to the world around me.
These issues have prevented me from enjoying simple moments in life, and I haven't been able to go on holiday since 2017. This invisible disease impacts every aspect of my daily life.
