Description
Hello everyone! Welcome to my fundraising. https://www.curefip.com/
Those of you who know me already know that I am a person who takes in and adopts animals, especially those most in need or with the greatest difficulty in being adopted.
Beetlejuice is a kitten who has been with me since his third day of life when I found him on a dirt road, with his eyes closed and his umbilical cord hanging out. He had the fortitude to get by on bottle feeds every two hours, with a bump on his tiny nose and warmth in every way imaginable.
Last Saturday 21/09/2024 he fell very ill and was admitted to hospital until Thursday 26/09/2024, when he was discharged with a diagnosis of dry FIP and almost hopeless. He spent that night, I don't even know how, injecting him with subcutaneous serum because he was dehydrated and raising his temperature with an electric mat. On Friday he was admitted again, this time in the capable hands of Vicky from Clínica Maricel, a specialist in the care of kittens with FIP. He has been started on medication GS-441524 thanks to both the whatsapp groups PIF Warriors and Facebook Feline Infectious Peritonitis ES who got me emergency vials.
This fundraiser is to be able to continue this treatment which has a duration of 84 days with the great brand CUREFIP https://www.curefip.com/
In my house there are:
-Kora: my 11 year old dog with hypothyroidism, adopted when she was six months old, out of all her litter, she was the only black dog and nobody wanted to adopt her, going through many foster homes that said she was too much for them.
-Neko: a kitten of 8 years old, came home from a litter of 4 and, as he was the smallest and ugliest, nobody adapted him, so he stayed at home.
-Hades: a 7 year old kitten, I found him in a colony, when he was one month old he had been attacked by a dog that broke his spine. He is paralysed with kidney problems, but a happy cat.
-Batcat: a 6 year old kitten, I fell in love with him in a shelter and he came home with me.
-Bastet: a kitten whose age I don't know. She had just given birth, she fell off a balcony and was slightly affected, with a twisted head and a little lack of coordination. They didn't want to take care of her any more, so I took her and her kittens in, and when the kittens were adopted, I took her in.
-Tique: 4 years old kitten that I found in a sewer, it took us 3 days to get her out and when we managed to do it, she had a necrotic tail and half an ear, so she lost her tail and half an ear, I took her in and cured her and she stayed forever in our home.
-Beetlejuice: He was a 3 days old baby when I found him on May 18th 2023. He had a bump on his nose and his umbilical cord was still dangling. His sister was also found with a major blow to the head, unfortunately, she only survived 2 nights. Beetlejuice, on the other hand, made it through with bottle feedings every 2 hours and showed her great strength even then.
Thelma and Louise: 2 sister kittens who are in foster care and will stay at home because nobody wanted them because they are not very sociable.
Thank you very much to all of you for your help and collaboration!
Silvia.
