Hello, I wanted to share a new update about my mother’s health. For now, she continues with the same cancer treatment. Next month she will have a new CT scan to check the condition of her lungs, and depending on the results, the doctor will decide if there will be any changes to the treatment. We are hoping everything will be fine. She still has a cough, but thankfully, not as bad as before.

Although she wears her special orthopedic shoes and plantar supports (made specifically for this problem, I don't know how to translate this), unfortunately, the pain has not improved. We went to the orthopedic doctor for a consultation and he also did an x-ray on her knees and, following the appointment, recommended 10 sessions of balneophysiotherapy at a Recovery Center.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations, because without your help, these sessions would not have been possible. We went about 40 km every day for two weeks. There, she also received some laser treatment and specific massages. It’s still too early to see clear results, but I’m sure that, in time, these treatments will help her.

For this problem, caused by gonarthrosis, in addition to other medications, she is now taking Muvon (two boxes, which were quite expensive) and Tador for pain relief. She will continue taking these for several months.

We also paid for a urology consultation, where she had an x-ray of the urinary tract. At the moment, the doctors haven’t found the exact cause of her recurring infections, but it’s very likely that they are caused by substances left after chemo, or perhaps by something she contracted during her hospital stay. Unfortunately, her body is very weak and infections keep coming back, as soon as one goes away, another appears. Right now, she’s taking fosfomycin and Itmuan forte, hoping to see some improvement.

I will post another update next month, after we receive the results of the CT scan. Please keep your fingers crossed that everything will be fine. In the meantime, she will also need a cardiology check-up, as well as another orthopedic examination, this time for the sole of her foot, since some doctors believe that might actually be the root cause of her main problem.

For such an illness, my mother receives only two small state allowances that together don’t even reach 300 euros, and here, almost all doctor’s appointments, medical tests and medications must be paid. I am very grateful to all of you for being by our side, otherwise, we wouldn’t even have enough to live on.
