The Gymnastics Club of Patmos 'STADION' is a newly established amateur sports club focusing on athletics events. Our club was founded in 2022 but unofficially our coach Babis Angelakopoulos has been coaching the children since 2013. He coaches about 80 children aged 5-18 years old. Unfortunately on our island there is a lack of basic equipment and we don't even have a stadium. The training sessions are held in a field. Our club takes part in all competitions both at Interclub and Panhellenic level throughout the year! Also, our club organizes every year in Patmos Interclub competitions from all the Dodecanese. From 2023 we organize the "Patmos Chorun" which is a 5 km and 10 km road race in Chora of Patmos as well as a children's race. The success every year is great with at least 200 athletes participating and it is on the Greek Athletics Federation (SEGAS) calendar. The annual travel costs are high in transportation, food, accommodation, because we travel to the surrounding islands and mainland Greece. The purchase of sports equipment and the organization of our 2 sporting events also cost quite a high amount. For all of the above there is a lack of financial resources. Your help will be important for our project which is none other than the promotion of classical sports to the youth of our small island and the advertising of our island all over the world!

Our association takes part in all competitions both at Intercollegiate and Panhellenic level with trips all year round! Also, our Association organize every year in Patmos Intercollegiate races from all Dodecanese islands. Since 2023 we organize a race called the "Patmos Chorun" which is a 5 km and 10 km city trail at the village of Chora in Patmos as well as with one children's race. The success every year is great with at least 200 athletes participated and is at the calendar of Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS). The annual travel expenses are high in transportation, food, accommodation, because we travel to the surrounding islands and mainland Greece. Buying sport equipment and organizing our 2 sport events also cost a respectable amount of expenses. For all the above there is lack of financial resources. Your help will be important for our work which is none other than the promotion of classical sports to the youth of our small island and the advertising of our island around the world!
