The idea for the Kizuna Mobile Sauna has been taking shape in my mind for years. It’s coming together step by step, thanks to a lot of hard work, enthusiasm and plenty of help. We’re now in the home stretch – the sauna is taking shape, and a truly unique experience is coming to life.

‘Kizuna’ is a Japanese word meaning ‘connection’. That is exactly what this project is about: creating a space where people can step away from the hustle and bustle, slow down, and reconnect with themselves – whilst enjoying a truly memorable experience under the guidance of experienced sauna masters.

The mobile sauna will accommodate 16–20 people, measuring 2x5 square metres, and will be traditionally wood-fired, creating an atmosphere like no other. The aim is to take it to as many places as possible: festivals, gatherings of friends, accommodation where there is no sauna, or even corporate team-building events – anywhere where a bit of recharging is welcome.

We’ve now been given a special opportunity to showcase the project, which would be a huge step forward. To make this happen, however, we need the sauna to be completed sooner. Most of the materials are already available, but we still need a few more materials, tools and fittings.
