Hi everyone!
Our little boy, Ábel, is autistic.
He is a lovable, special, sensitive little boy who is capable of so much – but in order for him to truly thrive, he needs far more support, attention and specialised help than an average family can easily provide in the long term.
Autism is often not really visible from the outside.
It is not always the ‘big’ things that are the hardest, but the everyday ones:
- how they can connect with others,
- how to learn,
- how they can understand the world around them,
- and how to help them in a way that leads to real progress.
As parents, we do everything we can for them.
We organise, learn, adapt and rethink a lot.
But there comes a point when we have to ask for help.
That is why we are launching this fundraiser for Ábel.
We would like to use the funds raised primarily for the following:
- developmental sessions,
- special educational and therapeutic support,
- education
- opportunities that help Ábel with his communication, learning, independence and sense of security.
For us, this is not a ‘luxury’ or a matter of convenience, but an opportunity for Ábel to make the most of himself, progressing at his own pace and following his own path.
We do not want pity.
But an opportunity.
A chance for him to receive the support he needs.
A chance to develop.
A chance for him to find his way around his own world with increasing confidence.
